ROPS, FOPS
& OPS Certification

Design, analysis and certification of operator protective structures for light and heavy vehicles, plant equipment and military vehicles, signed off by a Chartered Professional Engineer.

What we do

Operator Protective Structures

Rollover, falling-object and operator protective structures must do more than pass a test or an analysis. They must be certified by a suitably qualified engineer and documented to a standard that satisfies regulators and procurement teams.

Crutchworks designs protective structures for light and heavy vehicles, carries out FEA-based Grade 2 certification analysis, and produces complete certification packages.

Standards

Codes We Work To

Structures are assessed against the standards that apply to the machine and its operating environment, with the basis of every assessment documented in the report.

Where a project calls for a different or additional standard, we confirm the applicable requirements with you at the start of the engagement.

Relevant Standards
  • ISO 3471 — ROPS for Earth-Moving Machinery
  • ISO 8082 — ROPS for Forestry Machinery
  • WorkSafe NZ Operator Protective Structures Code
  • AS3990 — Mechanical Equipment (Steel)

Whether you are procuring new vehicles, modifying existing plant, or need a review of a contractor-supplied design, Crutchworks provides the independent engineering sign-off your project requires. You work directly with the Chartered engineer doing the analysis.
