Independent mechanical engineering for New Zealand defence: analysis, design verification and certification for prime contractors, suppliers and procurement teams.
Defence equipment must perform under extreme loads, comply with rigorous standards and be independently verified before it is fielded. Crutchworks supplies that rigour as a local sub-contract engineering capability.
Designs are assessed against applicable NZ and Australian standards and, for defence work, standards such as STANAG 4569, with verification documentation to support formal procurement processes.
Analysis reports, certification packages and design documentation are produced to a standard suitable for formal submission, because in defence procurement the quality of the engineering evidence matters as much as the engineering.
Crutchworks is also an approved research provider for the Research and Development Tax Incentive (RDTI).
Based in Wellington, close to the NZDF, the Ministry of Defence and the local defence industry, and available for in-person design reviews and procurement briefings. Current work includes a remote ground vehicle in prototype manufacturing.
Send a brief and we will come back with scope and a fee estimate. No obligation, just an engineering conversation.
